Fort Wayne, IN – July 1, 2008 – Fort Wayne's Best has announced Omar Waller as Player of the Week for the week of June 29. Waller led Team Promise to back-to-back wins, with an average of 22.5 points.

Fort Wayne, IN – June 25, 2008 – Fort Wayne's Best has chosen Maurice Benson as Player of the Week for the week of June 22. Benson led Team Justice with an average of 32 points over both games.

New Season Begins for Fort Wayne's Best

Fort Wayne, IN – June 16, 2008 – Best Leagues, an affiliate league of the American Basketball Association, began its men’s summer league this week after a pro-style draft night on June 8. This summer, Best Leagues has expanded from 10 to 12 teams, and is proud to have 100 men who represent the BEST talent in the city playing in the faith-based program. Best Leagues launches Fort Wayne's Best Prep League

The league drafted 80 players in a pro style draft with players from all area high schools and northeast Indiana. The PREP league will play with a modified version of the unique ABA rules. The high school league will play 12 games through May before the AAU season begins.

In other league news, Best Leagues has announced its draft night dates for its mens league. This high profile mens league plays through the summer and is for men 18-28. 5 of Best Leagues players will receive a free tryout to any ABA team courtesy of Joe Newman and the ABA. Draft night is on June 8th at 7pm at the Fellowship Missionary Church location. Cost is $50 per player and each paid registration will receive a team uniform compliments of Brand40 Athletics. Best Leagues© Announces an Agreement with Brand40 Athletics to become the Official Uniform and Apparel Manufacturer of Best League Gear.

Brand40 is manufacturer and provider of pro level and collegiate uniforms worn by some of the best teams and leagues in the United States. Best League players will be outfitted with a pro cut uniform as part of their 2008 league registration.
